Article 1

     Filmmakers, producers, educational institutions, and audiovisual production companies from any country in the world may participate. The person responsible for the submission must be over 18 years of age and declare such condition when completing the submission form, which shall be considered a sworn statement.

Article 2

     Fiction and animation audiovisual works of any genre will be accepted, including drama, comedy, comedy-drama, action, adventure, suspense, thriller, horror, science fiction, fantasy, romance, mystery, crime, historical, war, musical, family, children’s, youth, inspirational, spiritual, experimental, art/essay, dystopian, and hybrid genres. Documentaries will not be accepted.
The subject matter of the works is unrestricted. Short films are not required to address exclusively religious themes or the lives of saints. However, they may not contain content contrary to the Christian values and principles that inspire this Competition. Special consideration will be given to works that promote or reflect positive human values or convey a meaningful message.

Article 3

     Prizes, recognitions, special mentions, and possible cash awards will be announced by the Festival Organization on a date to be determined.

Article 4

     Completed works released from JANUARY 2025 onward will be accepted.

Article 5

     Selected short films will be published on the official Caravel Films YouTube channel for promotional purposes and participation in the Competition.
The selected works will remain published for a total period of 2 months. During the first month, the selected short films will be publicly available for viewing. Once the jury evaluation has concluded and the main winners have been announced, the works will remain available for one additional month.
Selected short films will automatically participate in the Audience Award category, whose winner will be determined according to the voting or viewing system established by the Organization and communicated in due course.
Participants whose works are selected must provide a thumbnail image, a brief synopsis, and the corresponding technical information for publication and promotional purposes.
The Organization may publish the technical and artistic information of the works on YouTube, on the official website, and through other Competition communication channels.
The Organization shall not be obligated to tag or mention personal accounts, production companies, or entities associated with participants in any publication.

Article 6

     Each Director may submit a maximum of two works to the Competition.

Article 7

     Producers, production companies, or submission representatives may submit more than one work through the official Competition submission form.
The person completing the submission form shall be considered the official representative of the work before the Organization. In the event that the work receives an award, any cash prize, recognition, certificate, or official communication shall be delivered exclusively to the person responsible for the submission, who shall assume responsibility for its distribution among the members of the production, if applicable.

Article 8

     Participants authorize Pascendi Inc. and/or Caravel Films to use excerpts, images, posters, photographs, trailers, and promotional materials from the works exclusively for Festival promotion, press, and publicity purposes.

Article 9

     Works must be submitted through a Google Drive link allowing the Organization to view and download the file. The link must remain active until the conclusion of the Competition.
To participate in the selection stage, works must be delivered in MP4 format (H.264 codec), Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels), 16:9 aspect ratio, and stereo audio.
Vertical format files will not be accepted.
Works originally produced in Scope format (2.39:1) or any other cinematic aspect ratio must be delivered within a Full HD 16:9 container, preserving the original framing through the use of horizontal black bars (Letterbox).
The Organization may request a new copy of the file if technical issues prevent proper viewing or evaluation.
If selected, the work must be resubmitted in MP4 format (H.264 codec or higher), UHD 4K resolution (3840 x 2160 pixels), and stereo audio for publication and distribution through the official Competition channels.
Likewise, participants whose works are selected must provide a thumbnail image, synopsis, complete technical sheet, and any additional promotional material deemed necessary by the Organization.

Article 10

     Submissions must be made exclusively through the official form or platform designated and communicated by the Organization.

Article 11

     The deadline for receiving works will be October 1, 2026, at 11:59 PM (UTC), unless otherwise modified and communicated by the Organization

Article 12

     Participation in the Competition implies full knowledge and acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

Article 13

     Pascendi Inc. reserves the right to modify dates, schedules, procedures, categories, or any organizational aspect of the Competition whenever operational, technical, or force majeure circumstances require it. Such modifications will be communicated to participants through the official channels.

Article 14

     Any situation not contemplated in these Terms and Conditions shall be resolved by the Competition Organization. Decisions made by the Organization and the Jury shall be final and not subject to appeal.

Article 15

     The Jury may declare any of the established awards void if it considers that the submitted works do not meet the artistic, technical, or thematic standards required by the Competition. In such case, the decision shall be final and not subject to appeal.
